Degussa AG has begun production at its new polyesters and colorants plants in Shanghai. The new multi-user site is located in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. The investments are pooled in Degussa Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai), a subsidiary of Degussa’s Chinese holding Degussa (China) Co., Ltd. The polyesters and colorants plants of the coatings and colorants business unit are the first projects at this site.
Dynapol coating polyesters of the polyesters and adhesive resins business line are mainly used in coil and can coatings. The colorants business line produces and develops high-quality pigment pastes and color tinting systems that can be adjusted with extreme accuracy and are used in the paint, coatings and related industries.
